I love creating community and being a thought partner sounding board.

My approach

I bring expertise, yet I am not the expert in your world. Your teams may have the answers but not always the capacity to get there. Sometimes support and guidance is helpful. Let me hold some of that for you and your teams.

I use a relational approach and systems thinking to get long-term solutions that impact your team and the people you work with. I am a natural connector, a good listener, and I seek creative options.

The most important resource/asset nonprofits, government, educational systems and even for-profit companies have are the people who work there. We do better work when human-centered approaches and polices are in place.

About me

Hi, I’m Bridget. I bring 20 years of professional social work, team development, and nonprofit leadership experience, over 25 years working with and leading youth programs, and over 40 years of navigating individual and group relationships.

I identify as a white, cis-gender, able-bodied woman. With this privileged perspective I have been on a journey to learn and navigate the world and am committed to dismantle white supremacy culture along my route . . . a forever journey.

I was the founding executive director for HomePlate Youth Services, a nonprofit in Washington County, Oregon. For almost 20 years, I was honored to grow HomePlate to be recognized as a leader in services for young people experiencing housing instability. We went through many stages of growth and learned along the way. I also received a BA in psychology and a Masters of Social Work along the way.

As a leader, I benefitted from having thought partners I love learning and supporting others similarly.

My Services

  • Leadership Support

Navigating amongst the board, staff, and the community can be lonely for an executive director who is in the middle. Use me to be a thought partner to vent to and problem solve solutions with.

  • Organizational and Team Development

I can work with your team as a thought partner to develop, co-create and facilitate either whole team or small team retreats. Who couldn’t benefit from a little more connection within their team?!

  • Peer Learning Circles

Come meet with other peers in a confidential space. Regular peer support is an invaluable resource. Having a place to ask your questions, seek resources, vet new ideas, and return to your organizations more resourced and supported is truly amazing.

  • Employee Retention

I can support you with team retention strategies such as looking at the research and benefits of implementing a 4-day-work-week and other human-centered policies for your organization.

“Bridget has the amazing gift of being warm, empathetic, and encouraging, while also truly understanding the landscape of nonprofit management.  She is ready with both resources and insightful questions that help illuminate a way forward when I have faced significant challenges.  I know I can trust Bridget as she has brought to life many person-centered policies that prioritize both the youth and her staff.  She is organized and has been incredibly responsive.  I highly recommend Bridget to anyone--she has a wealth of wisdom and a way of sharing it that feels accessible and uplifting.  Coach, guide, cheerleader--Bridget will support you in whatever you are facing!”
